I am Beloved

February – I am Beloved
Beloved is the Hebrew yādîd and means I am greatly loved by the Lord and I am the one the Lord loves.

See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us that we should be called children of God!  1 John 3:1a

The beloved of the Lord rests securely in Him for He shields him all the day, and the one the Lord loves rests between His shoulders.  Deuteronomy 33:12

The I am Beloved Art Card is found in the Who I am Collection at Flower Girl Greetings.com

When we receive Jesus the Messiah, our Father God brings us into an eternal, intimate, covenant relationship with Himself by the Holy Spirit. He gives us names that describe our identity as those who have been born again into His family. They remain constant even though the clouds of our feelings, circumstances, weakness, grief, failure, and emotions may hide their reality. We have this hope as an anchor of our souls, a hope both sure and steadfast...(Hebrews 6:19)

The devotional on the back of the I am Beloved Art Card:

I am Beloved.

The Hebrew word yādîd expounds on this staggering truth. We are greatly loved by the Lord. We are the ONES He loves. He is the Lover of our souls and the One Who created us for intimacy with Himself.

When we receive Jesus Christ and are born into His family, we abide in the beauty of His love and purpose. He delights in us! The Creator of the unfathomable immensity of the galaxies as well as every exquisite detail of each flower is the One Who loves us!

As I painted the graceful letters of the Hebrew word, read about its meaning, and put the word Beloved before me each day, the Lord gave revelation. I was overjoyed with the reality of His love!

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39

Lord, I want to comprehend the breadth, length, height and depth of Your love! Ephesians 3:14-19
