I am Blessed

March – I am Blessed
Blessed is the Hebrew ashrei and means I am rich in lavished grace and inheritance.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. Ephesians 1:3

In Him we have also obtained an inheritance having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will. Ephesians 1:11

O taste and see that the Lord is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! Psalm 34:8

When we receive Jesus the Messiah, our Father God brings us into an eternal, intimate, covenant relationship with Himself by the Holy Spirit. He gives us names that describe our identity as those who have been born again into His family. They remain constant even though the clouds of our feelings, circumstances, weakness, grief, failure, and emotions may hide their reality. We have this hope as an anchor of our souls, a hope both sure and steadfast...(Hebrews 6:19)

The devotional on the back of the I am Blessed Art Card:

I am Blessed.

The green watercolor wash and blue delphiniums anticipate the abundance of spring.  In Him we have everything we need now and a lavish inheritance in the age to come!

The American Sign Language for the deaf for the word bless begins with the thumbs of both fists together on the mouth. From the mouth, the hands move downward opening up with the fingers spread and the palms facing down. Try it!

This beautiful sign expresses the blanket of abundance that covers us as the word of the Lord goes forth from His mouth. He speaks blessing over us, His beloved, day and night.

Shalom is a Hebrew greeting that offers a blessing upon every part of a person’s life. The shalom of God includes harmony, wholeness, completeness in our bodies, emotions, mind, relationships, provision, and environment. Shalom is fulfillment, restoration, and reconciliation.

Thank You, Lord, that in every circumstance, I am blessed eternally, covered with the shalom of God.

Welcome to Shale Fragments, a collection of writings and art for individual and group use!

Teaching God’s truth and the beauty of His Word is my greatest delight! My art card company, Flower Girl Greetings, was launched in 2012 with this purpose. In April 2020, ShaleFragments.com became the gathering place for the writings.

As I have studied the rich meanings of the original Greek and Hebrew languages of the Bible, I continue to see beautiful progressions and connections that compel me to organize and convey their life-changing beauty!
