Nani

Nani
A Brief Beauty

The text on the back of the card is:
This rare hibiscus, a gift from a friend, took my breath away one morning. The span of her bloom measured eight inches and lasted one day. Another friend named her Nani, the Hawaiian word for beautiful or splendor. Her photograph was superimposed onto a green watercolor wash to show off her exquisite salmon color.

Nani is a high-quality art card sold in a 4-Pack at Flower Girl Greetings! To view the card, please click here.

There are two cards at Flower Girl Greetings that incorporate photographs. Grand compassion is one; Nani is the other. Nani is our only card with no Scripture.

Following is a meditation about Nani from July 28, 2014:
When I came inside after gardening, I noticed my rare hibiscus, Nani, had a new bud (see images below). This is the same plant that yielded the bud for the Flower Girl Greetings card called Nani. Nani’s blooms last one day. If I am not alert, I will never see it, although her bloom is quite conspicuous with its unusual salmon color and large breadth. Even though her beauty can only be beholden for one day, her bud gives an advanced notice, so we are watchful for her grand display.

Lord, may I give ear to your instruction, so that I live in Your gentle harmony. Sharpen my vision, so that I see Your advanced notices, so I don’t miss the beauty of what You are doing around me, however brief it may be.
